We want you to know that we’re doing our part to ensure our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. We will be adhering to Sawday’s clean and safe charter.

We have four cottages at La Daby which are often rented out to groups not within the same household. We ask that you abide by social distancing recommendations in force by France at the time of your stay.

Our linen and towels are washed at the possible highest temperature, but we would ask guests to bring their own pool towels which will be their responsibility to keep clean and only used by their household. Please do not leave these around the pool when your family is not using the pool.

Our housekeeper will wear a mask and gloves throughout preparing your cottage for your stay. Please can we ask that you respect social distancing while she prepares your house which may take longer than under normal circumstances.

The pool will be cleaned as usual and will be highly chlorinated but we would ask that you shower before and after swimming. Pending any government legislation it may be necessary to allocate different time slots between houses for pool use as on a rota basis but we cannot accept responsibility if you all chose to swim at the same time.

We would strongly suggest that you place your towel on the sun lounger before use and each lounger will be colour coded according to relevant cottages.

Cleaning materials will be left for your use in each cottage, but please bear in mind that our septic tank will cease to function if anything other than toilet roll is put down the loo so please dispose of kitchen roll, anti bacterial wipes into rubbish bins as any plumbing blockage will be your responsibility. Should you require further cleaning materials, these can be purchased easily from the local supermarkets. We will provide one hand sanitiser per booking.

It is imperative that you throw all food away and clear the fridge when you depart to keep our future guests safe.

You are more than welcome to borrow books but this will be at your own discretion as it is not feasible to disinfect them between each stay.

Apologies if the houses look a little minimalist this year, we have removed some of the objects for your safety and protection.

While we follow stringent cleaning and safety guidelines, we cannot be held responsible for guests contracting Covid 19.

Enjoy your stay and be safe.
